Staying Active in Laramie

Over 800 different students participated in extracurricular activities in Phase I. These ranged from Community Service and Life Skills where extra credit is awarded to Intramural Sports to out of town trips including: Steamboat Resort, the X-Games in Aspen, and a Monster Truck show in Colorado.

We hope to have even more participants in the upcoming phase! Here are a few activities to look forward to:

Guitar Hero 2/Texas Hold 'Em Tournament - February 17th @ 3pm
Come out to the Student Center and discover who is the true Guitar Hero. Enter to win or just see what it's all about...or show us your poker face. The winner of each table will advance to the champions table to compete for the WyoTech Poker Championship!

Steamboat Snowboard/Ski Trip - March
About $50 will buy you a lift ticket, transporation to and from one of the premiere resorts in the country, and lunch! Whether you are an experienced rider or just want try it out, this is a great deal!

Alcohol Awareness Week - March 5th - 8th
WyoTech is partnering with the University of Wyoming to educate our students about repsonsible alcohol behaviors. Students will receive extra credit for attendance as well as the opportunity to participate in fun activities including a "Beer Goggle" golf cart course.

Saturday Seminars - February - March
Knowledgeable WyoTech instructors volunteer their time to teach seminars on topics ranging from Carburetors to Fiberglass to Metalurgy. Students receive a certificate of completion for their attendance and participation!
